February's Snow Moon Reflection
Where do you find moments of stillness and silence?
REFLECTION
Winter settles into silence, reflecting our own quiet attunement. The hushed snow covers buried seeds, the cold roots of trees, the heartbeats of fish deep in torpor. Animals burrow in their warm, musky dens, waiting for signs of spring. What is sleeping in us now that will stir in the coming seasons? Listen more deeply to the stillness within you.
INVITATION
Sit comfortably in a quiet place. Place one hand on your belly and one hand on your heart. Begin humming, letting the sound of your hum rise in the space around you. Feel the vibration of your own sound under your hands. Hum until you feel you’ve come to the end of the hum.
POEM
I was the starlight
I was the moonlight
I was the sunset,
Before the dawning
Of my life.
- Fenton Johnson, “Revery”
