June's Strawberry Moon Reflection
REFLECTION
Remember the feeling of finding a strawberry in the garden, warm from the sun? As the roots drew nutrients from the soil to sweeten the berry, your senses now draw pleasure from the fruit. Take in the sweetness of your life. It’s time. Let the fruition of summer unfold in you, expanding the edges of your experience. What can you let go of to make room for the new?
INVITATION
Find a piece of cotton string or natural twine. Gently bring to mind something you are ready to let go of. Tie a knot in the string and bury it in the soil. Say goodbye.
POEM
Then I found myself, all here in the body and brain, and all there on the shore:
Content to be myself: free, and strong, and enlarged:
Then I knew the depths of myself were the depths of space.
- James Oppenheim, “Self”
